Research and Development
The Office of Research and Development fosters and sustains an environment that facilitates faculty research. It offers the following types of service:
Academic Development Division
- Integrating |Research resources to promote the research programs of the University.
- Assisting the Academic and research evaluation of teaching and research units on campus.
- Assessing the proposals for adding, modifying, or closing teaching and research units.
- Supervising international academic exchanges and collaborative programs.
Technical Cooperation Division
- Assisting faculty with the applications for grants
- Providing administrative support for the execution of research projects
- Obtaining patents and copyrights on behalf of NIU and its faculty
- Serving as a liaison between faculty and local industries
- Establishing cooperative ties to facilitate faculty research and development
Agricultural Extension Committee
In addition to promoting cooperation with Council of Agriculture, local government, and Farmer Associations, this office is also responsible for continuing education of farmer.
